I guess we'll look into it.I, Rodiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08199985322178825076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7320959265040712836.post-81333047809971764812009-08-06T09:47:04.787-05:002009-08-06T09:47:04.787-05:00Rodius, I'll summarize from Twitter here. My ...Rodius, I'll summarize from Twitter here. My oldest has always toe-walked. Always. I actually freaked out a little when she was about 18 months old because, as a medical transcriptionist working on a peds account at the time, I typed a surgical report for a bilateral Achilles tendon lengthening procedure on a 10yo. I just couldn't imagine having to put my one and only (at the time) though that kind of medical torture. So I asked about it at her next appointment. I have been reassured that as long as the flexibility and range of motion still exists, you are fine. It's when/if he starts losing range of motion that you have to worry. There was a point where I could barely get one of her feet into a 90-degree angle. We stretched her feet a lot during this time, usually after bath when she was all cozy and warm and relaxed. I think YOU could do the physical therapy of stretching the Achilles without having to pay for it. And, over time, with doing gymnastics (or other sports that require running or jumping or stretching of that part of the leg) she has better range of motion than ever before. And that is my 2 cents.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7320959265040712836.post-47696176067635796352009-08-06T00:11:25.557-05:002009-08-06T00:11:25.557-05:00I don't know the answer, but I hope you share ...I don't know the answer, but I hope you share what you find out. Braedyn has feet that pronate, and I was supposed to get him shoes with strong arch support. Do you know how hard it is to find shoes for a kid with ANY arch support? That was almost two years ago, and I'm nervous for his "wellness" visit this year. I'm probably going to get the stink eye from my pediatrician. She Saidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12217616042989979008noreply@blogger.com
