In 1974, I had a Fisher Price Joey Lapsitter. I loved him beyond his ability to endure it, and so eventually I got another one. I named him Georgie. I don't believe I recall the original Joey, but I definitely remember Georgie. I carried him around by his hair until it stood straight up on his head.
And now, thanks to the miracle of eBay, 34 years after Joey broke onto the scene, I give you:
"Let the circle be unbroken by and by, Lord, by and by."

That is too sweet! Look at how happy he is. That is just awesome.
To be honest, he was happy, but only because I was saying, "Yay!" He loves praise. He shortly after this picture dumped the doll. Now it's in a ziploc baggie along with a few dryer sheets in hopes of eliminating that musty smell.
Oh, so sweet. My brother just gave to me my Mrs. Beasley doll (from Family Affair? I know, it's before your time), and my hubs has a puppet of a talking Mr. ED. Every time I put it on, I'm reminded of The Godfather.
